Our deceased estate services cover the entire process of winding up a loved one's estate:
- We notify the Master of the High Court and assist with appointing the executor.
- We publish all required notices to creditors and collect and verify all necessary documents and information.
- Once everything is in order, we prepare the liquidation and distribution account, which outlines how the estate will be divided.
- As part of this process, we calculate any estate duty payable and ensure that all relevant tax returns, including final income tax and estate duty submissions, are submitted and paid to SARS.
- We then ensure that the assets are distributed according to the will or intestate succession laws if there is no will.
